Dedicated Chicago IT Support

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Most computer support comes without any type of personal connection with the technician.

Larger firms usually send out a technician to your place of business, complete the task, and then give you a bill. There is very little interaction and odds are you will never see that technician again.

He or she will be replaced with another technician to perform your next support call. If you are looking for chicago it support that will make an effort to be personable and assist you whenever you need their help, then look for a smaller it firm.

These firms that focus on assisting small to mid-sized businesses make a conscious effort to help your business grow. By using one of these chicago it support firms, it is possible to get a much better service.

These smaller firms usually assign one technician to help your company. As long as this technician is employed at that company, he or she will be there for all of your needs. You will be given a direct number to their cell phone for any emergency service that you may need.

If they do not answer the call, your call is automatically transferred to the company’s main office.

A receptionist will take down your information and either locate another technician, or they will locate your technician. Either way, you are not forced to leave a voicemail in order to get in touch with a technician.

This makes the client feel more important, so it is a good service that is offered. There is always the chance that a client will need assistance after normal business hours or during the weekend.

Most firms don’t have hours during those times, but there are few that do offer around the clock service. These clients can call their technician for assistance no matter what time it is.

This helps them get whatever technical issues they have completed before the next business day. This will help prevent losses for the company because of network downtime. Instead of struggling to find a quick fix for their network.

As the client and technician have more work together, the technician becomes extremely efficient with dealing with each client’s issues. This is because now the technician is familiar with their software and system set up.

Unlike other companies that simply pass around technician’s notes, smaller chicago it support companies can offer a true relationship based experience that can help each client find success.

Locating Premium Chicago IT Support

Monday, January 25th, 2010

If you happen to run a business in Chicago, IT support is imperative. It can help you maintain the communication system that you have in place within your company, and it can also help you if you encounter any technical problems that might slow down your business operations.

It can also help you expand your system of communication; for instance, a support team could suggest that you incorporate multimedia elements into your communication so that you can broaden your base of potential clients and make it clear to them what services you provide or what products you have available for purchase.

When you start looking for Chicago IT support, it’s a good idea to ask for a few referrals so that you can narrow down your options. Many companies offer these service, and at first, it can be quite difficult to figure out which one actually will do the best job servicing your network of computers.

Look online for advice. You can read a few message boards, or look at discussion forums that contain information posted by previous customers of various IT companies.

If you make a few phone calls to different companies that offer IT support, you should be able to feel comfortable when you speak to a service representative about your computer system needs.

They shouldn’t use such complicated language when they’re talking about technological concepts that you feel intimidated or simply confused.

Instead, they should make everything easy to understand, and you should feel like you will be able to effectively work with them to help create a better network system.

Another important consideration is location. If a company is not located within a close distance, you’ll end up paying more for the transportation of a technician to come to the site of your business if a problem comes up.

This is also important because you’ll want them to be able to get to your company in a short amount of time in the event of a network emergency.

If they’re stuck in hours of traffic just trying to get to your location, this extra time spent waiting for them to show up will hurt your company since you won’t be able to communicate effectively until they arrive.

Finally, it might be a good idea to find out if an IT support company offers assistance over the phone. This can save you even more money; if they can give some advice over the phone, you won’t have to pay for the transportation of a technician at all.

In many cases, they might be able to diagnose and solve a problem without having to actually visit your site.

If you happen to own a small business, work at a company that relies heavily on computers for communication, or are giving serious thought to starting such a business, you will want to find the best Chicago computer support possible.

If you do, you will save thousands of dollars by avoiding having to pay that amount later on if something isn’t fixed early on while it’s still simple to do so.

You will also have the benefit of effective communication at all times; if your computer network fails, you will miss out on countless business opportunities.

When you start your search for IT services, it’s important that you look only for Chicago computer support if your business happens to be in the Chicago vicinity. This is because you won’t want the time delay of transportation if you need someone to come out and help you with an emergency situation.

It’s also important because if you hire someone that has to travel a considerable distance to get to your site, you won’t want to pay what it costs them to commute.

After you find computer support that is conveniently located, you need to make a few phone calls to discuss what types of services you need. When you’re speaking with a customer service representative, make sure that they are speaking to you in a clear manner.

You shouldn’t feel intimidated or confused by highly technical vocabulary; instead, you should feel comfortable talking about what type of support you think might suit your company the best.

One of the main advantages of reliable and trustworthy computer support is that you can expand the realm of communication that your business can do. For example, you might be able to integrate new video techniques and multimedia elements into your presentations to customers.

This will give them a more clear idea of what product you’re trying to sell or what services your company can provide for them.

Finally, before making a final decision about computer support, you should read some customer reviews of computer support companies. Searching the Internet for reviews is a great place to start.

You can read some discussion forums, or some comments left on the websites of different businesses that offer computer support. If customers were pleased with the service they received, it’s likely that they will recommend the support team that helped them to other businesses looking for similar service.

Finding Chicago Computer Support

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

I have recently received all the funding necessary to start my new business, so I was looking to open operations in two months. I had everything I needed already lined up, so I was in great shape to meet my deadline.

The only aspect of my business that I was worried about was my small business network. I had no experience with computers, so I was worried that I would not be able to be successful with preparing the network on my own.

I decided that I needed to search for a chicago computer support company that could meet my needs. I went online and began my search for local chicago computer support companies.

I was at first overwhelmed by the numerous companies that I found available. I had no idea what I would do to eliminate the potential providers, so I decided to go on each website and inspect the offered services. I also made sure to check each company’s client history and see if their clients were satisfied with the assistance they received.

I ended up using this as my main decision making tool. I could trust what their clients said. If I read only what each company said about itself, then I would not get an objective point of view on each company.

I finally narrowed down my search to five companies. All of them had great websites, so my final decision came down to the reviews on each company.

I saw that some of them had standard reviews saying that the company was great and handled everything to perfection. Reviews like this did not interest me because I was looking for descriptive customer reviews.

The company that I eventually selected had numerous descriptive reviews. One review stated how the technician was willing to stay after business hours in order to make sure the job was completed properly.

Another review stated how the client’s entire network crashed, but thankfully the technician had set up an offsite backup for their software, so the technician was able to recover the lost data on the same day. I decided that this chicago computer support company was exactly what I needed.

They had the experience I needed and from what I saw on their website, and extremely dedicated and satisfied client pool. After I hired them, they set up my new small business network with ease, and now my small business is doing well in the marketplace.

Good Communication in Chicago Computer Support

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Have you ever called up someone for computer support? Chicago residents often feel like computer tech teams are speaking an entirely different language. Unfortunately, that often is the case since your technician is going to be explaining very complicated issues to you that relate to your computer.

Since computer diagnostics is an extremely specialized business, it can often become difficult for them to put the problems you are experiencing into terms you are able to understand. It also doesn’t help that computer are becoming more complicated each day, and the viruses that attack them are becoming more sophisticated. (more…)

If you run any small business, odds are you have a lot of information that needs to stay secure.

Clients’ credit card information, addresses, and sometimes social security numbers are all things that need to be secure. For me, I set up a secure small business network in order to keep my clients’ information safe from hackers or other outside sources.

Of course, I hired an outside firm to establish this network. My only concern was whether I could trust this chicago computer support company with access to my private business information.

The Chicago computer support company was just a third party, so I was not sure if I could trust them in this situation. (more…)

Friendly Chicago IT Support

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

For my small business, I always preach to my employees that we have to have great customer service. If our clients are happy, then they will recommend others to come to our business.

Our clients help my business survive, so we better keep them happy. This is what helped keep me competitive in the Chicago market. There are numerous competitors and I need every advantage I can get.

Thankfully, most of my clients enjoy my kind staff, so they are loyal to my business. As a customer service driven firm, I expect all of my suppliers or support companies to have a high level of respect for me. I only chose to do business with them if they are friendly and knowledgeable.

I was recently in search of a good Chicago IT support firm to help me with my network. My old Chicago IT support firm was not the most friendly and they caused more problems than they fixed. (more…)

Benefits of Hiring a Chicago IT Consulting Company

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

I was recently visiting a friend who owned his own small business. As a fellow business owner in the Chicago land area, he and I often traded various strategies in order to help our respective businesses.

During my most recent trip, I was surprised to see him extremely frantic. His network had crashed, and his internal technician had no idea how to fix it. I was shocked that this had happened, but I was also surprised that he would be willing to pay for an in house network administrator.

I told him about the various Chicago IT consulting companies that are available to businesses like ours, but he said he did not want to risk hiring an outside contractor. (more…)
