As a cautious business owner, I am not comfortable trusting the success of my business with younger employees or support technicians. I want to work with experienced individuals who can perform without the aid of a reference manual or other assistance.

That is why whenever I look for it support, chicago businesses with younger employees are usually ignored. In my search for a competent it support, chicago companies all looked appealing to me.

I decided that I needed to research these companies more and make sure I did not sign up with a firm that had too many younger technicians.

Younger technicians fresh out of school are usually unreliable in my experience. Yes, some of them have a great work ethic because they want to impress, but that does not ease any of my concerns about their reliability.

I am sure they have the skills necessary, but I primarily worry about work ethic. In order to make sure this is no longer an issue, I do a detailed search of each company.

I usually surprise the receptionist whenever I ask how much experience their average employee has. If I hear anything less than ten years, then I usually hang up the phone.

In one of my past experiences, I made the mistake of hiring a young technician. Because he was not experienced, he somehow found a way to make my server crash, and I lost all of my data.

Thankfully, I had been smart enough to make a backup of the server before he did any work to it, but he was fixing a small issue with the server.

From what I heard from other technicians, fixing that small issue should never cause the server to crash. Of course, I decided to try another younger technician, just in case this was a fluke scenario.

Sadly, the same situation occurred. In this instance, the young technician somehow found a way to force one of my workstations to crash because it could no longer speak to the server. Luckily, one of my customers said he could help as he was also a technician.

He was able to fix my workstation and he corrected the numerous errors the younger technician had made. I immediately terminated my contract with the younger technician and hired the more experienced one.

Because of this experience, I learned that when you are looking for it support, chicago has many options, but beware the younger companies.
