Another capability included with Microsoft 365 Business Premium that many organizations overlook is Microsoft Teams Audio Conferencing.

In many environments we see companies running multiple meeting platforms such as:

  • Zoom
  • Webex
  • GoToMeeting

Often these platforms are used simply because users need the ability to join meetings by phone.

However, Microsoft Teams already provides this capability.

Dial-In Access for Teams Meetings

With Teams Audio Conferencing, users can join a Microsoft Teams meeting through the public telephone network.

This allows participants to dial into meetings using a phone instead of joining through a computer or mobile device.

This feature is particularly useful for:

  • External participants who prefer dialing in
  • Users joining meetings while traveling
  • Situations where internet access may be limited

For many other Microsoft 365 subscriptions, Teams audio conferencing is an additional add-on license, typically costing around $2 per user per month.

However, in Microsoft 365 Business Premium, this capability is already included.

Reducing Unnecessary Meeting Platforms

Many organizations end up managing several meeting platforms at the same time, which adds unnecessary cost and complexity.

When Teams is already the primary collaboration tool for chat, meetings, and file sharing, adding separate meeting platforms often creates duplicate functionality.

Because Teams audio conferencing is included in Business Premium, many organizations can consolidate their meeting tools into the Microsoft platform they are already using.

A More Integrated Collaboration Environment

Using Microsoft Teams as the central meeting platform also provides tighter integration with other Microsoft 365 services such as:

  • Outlook calendar scheduling
  • SharePoint and OneDrive file sharing
  • Microsoft 365 identity and security controls

For organizations already operating inside the Microsoft ecosystem, this allows meetings, files, and communication to exist inside a single integrated platform.
